I cut my hair.

(a lot right??)

Yes, I cut my own hair.

I dislike people messing around with my hair and giving me a style that I don’t want.

I usually layer it into three layers, and the longest layer is in the middle and the portion of hair nearer my ears are shorter.

Like so.

¬†My hair is sometimes annoying, unkempt and won’t be tamed by a comb.

It’s a lot better now that I use conditioner regularly, but the curls are still there, and they’ve petered out to waves!

I think curly hair isn’t too bad after all ^^

And in this shot, I look so pale! (below)

Ultimate favourite picture of the lot ūüėÄ

Well… I guess if you want curls like this you can tie your hair into two buns like what my friend does, so the harder you twist it will increase the intensity of the curls.

She told me she saw it on Xiaxue’s blog somewhere, so maybe you can look for it yourself?

*blessed with natural curls hohoho*

I think Qoo10 is out to bankrupt me.

Honestly, how can you resist products like these??!!

And so cheap too! (but if you’re buying them all, like me, they’ll add up to a lot)

On my ‘Must-Buy’ List:

My mum’s getting this for my sister and me.

She says we need it in case any pedo old men get near. And I kinda agree cos’ I seem to be a favourite with pedo old men ._.

I’m kinda skeptical about the quality but I’ll be sure to tell you guys about it when I get it! It’d better not die on me during a crucial time~

The sale might not be there anymore though :/

I want to gripe about a purchase I made recently.

This thing called Perfumies.

For you guys who don’t know what this is all about, it’s stick perfume!

Super convenient and portable… just don’t leave it in your bag for too long on a hot day!

You can look up the website¬†here, or on¬†Etsy¬†because you can’t find it in Singapore or any stores even in the USA, I think.

So I was instantly smitten because the pictures were so goddamn pretty and there were tons of awesome reviews about people saying how much they loved the products (especially the Clean Cotton one)

So I bought three at one go.

In short, it was

ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKES IN MY LIFE.

I didn’t take into account that I prefer subtle scents, and these being produced in the USA are really… pungent… really strong. The moment I unwrapped the package I was hit by a strong smell of detergent.

Apparently that was the ‘clean’ smell.

If I wanted to smell like detergent I would put it on my body, seriously.

Stardust was supposed to be this dreamy, fruity scent but to me it just smelled like air freshener.

The only saving grace was Earth Angel, this sorta musky smell which my bf says smells like incense¬†¬†(don’t know if he likes it or not) but anyway I like it ._. like, it’s passable. Best out of the three. It surprised me because I just got it to fill up the numbers and I wasn’t expecting much, but it turned out to be the best. Whee!

*cries*

At least the scents smell better after some time and linger pretty well enough to last half a day.

If you like Victoria’s Secret scents, I think you’ll like these.

Digressing a little…

I was at the airport last month and I decided to check out the Victoria’s Secret scents because tons of people have been raving about how awesome they are, and I HATED THEM.

Many people say that the body lotions smell great but they are strong on chemicals and give you rashes… which is true on all accounts except for the smell.

The scents hit you face-on and don’t last very long, so when you apply them people can smell you a mile away for the first hour or so, then after that the scent is barely there. *irritating*

This will be a short review-

The Body Shop Born Lippy Pink Guava Lip Balm!

¬†As you can see, the texture inside is sticky-ish…

I don’t know why they call it a lip balm, it’s more like a lip gloss in terms of texture and colour… (lip balm colours are more¬†opaque, but gloss is translucent)¬†

Personally, I’m not a big fan of this lip balm because it tastes awful.

You got that right. It tastes awful.

Okay you’ll probably be shaking your head and thinking

OMG what a dolt no one asked you to eat it, you dumbass.

But anyone who’s ever worn lipgloss should know that it will inevitably end up in your mouth for some reason no matter how careful you are, and drinking water is a pain…

So yeah. It tastes awful and artificial, and you can actually taste the smell of the lip balm (weird right)

I much prefer lip balms because they provide colour and look pretty natural (I’m not a fan of sparkly, bling-bling, eye-catching lip prints and colours) AND I can use them in school without any teachers getting on my case.

Plus I have long hair that flaps all over my face and they’ll get stuck to my glossy, sticky lips when the wind blows, and I major hate that.¬†

the slight translucent colour I was talking about.. orangey and pinkish and pretty natural except for the glossy shine

************************************************************************************************

Loves: Pretty colour

Hates: The smell gets sickly sweet after awhile, and it tastes awful, and my hair sticks to it.

Rating: 6/10 (because it is actually quite pretty, just my personal preferences affected the rating)

Pricing: 8.90 SGD

Note: I bought this last year so this is the old packaging, you might not see the same label on top anymore though the container is still the same!

Hey guys~

Today, I’ll be reviewing Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque!¬†

…… LOLWHUT (is that)?¬†

…this!

Okay, okay, I know most of you (especially in Asia) will not have heard of this before, but it’s pretty well known in the US!

I must first comment on the size of this.

IT IS HUGE.

Not convinced?

Let me give you a size comparison…

With two standard-size lip balms (for some reason all lip balms are the exact same height and size!)

Look at that!

Stack three lip balms up and you get the rough height.

I couldn’t stack three lip balms because I’m uncoordinated and clumsy, okay?

Stop harping on it already!

Okay, now let’s have a look at the label behind-

That sounds pretty good, eh?

I’m kinda iffy about the ingredients though…¬†

Sounds really chemical-y.

Kaolin is sorta like clay (I think it had its roots in China?), and it’s used to make pots and stuff!

So essentially this is like a clay mask- thick and cracks upon hardening.

This mask (masque) is quite refreshing and cooling, but not so much after you wash it off, and when it dries the mint smell fades and the sulfur in this dominates.

…Sulfur?

Don’t worry guys, sulfur has been proven to be good for the skin and many skin products contain trace amounts!

People go to hot springs for the skin benefits, y’know!¬†

Swimming in sulfur~~

And you get soft, supple skin!

For some reason the mask was quite itchy when I first applied it but when I washed it off there was no redness or irritation, so perhaps it was cos I’m not used to clay masks?

Hmmmm….¬†

Anyway when I washed it off I got baby-smooth and soft, firm skin, so I quite like the feeling of this mask!

I usually use this just before my bath, so I can wash it off and come out feeling refreshed!

No mess too ūüôā

It does dry out your skin, being a clay mask and all, so people with dry skin should apply some moisturiser before and after using this mask!

I just apply my after-bath moisturiser and I’m set!
